The Original Poster (OP) took it to the forum, and asked, “Am I wrong for telling my sister to not eat in her car because it grosses me out?”. We want to know from you.
BACKSTORY
OP is 15, and she is learning to drive in her sister’s car, who is 19.
DIFFERENT STANDARDS OF CLEANLINESS
OP and her sister have different standards of cleanliness. Her sister’s room is always messy, she sleeps with their dog, she doesn’t wash her face, and she washes her hair once or twice a week.
OP’S SISTER EATS IN HER CAR
OP knew that her sister eats in her car as she earlier saw sesame seeds in the holes of the booster seat. OP also found fast food wrappers in her sister’s car earlier.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
OP got home the other day and saw her sister eating in her car.
WHAT DID OP SEE?
OP saw food everywhere inside the car.
WHAT DID OP DO?
When her sister came inside the house, OP told her not to eat in her car because it grossed OP out.
HER SISTER’S RESPONSE
OP’s sister told her that it was her car so she could do anything she wanted in it.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
OP kept telling her sister not to eat in it, and her sister explained that she gets 25 minutes to go to work after her class, so she eats on her way in the car. She also told OP that she could get her car if OP has that big of a problem with her eating.
OP’S SISTER ISN’T LETTING HER DRIVE
Ever since this argument took place, OP’s sister hasn’t been letting her drive her car, and has been behaving cold towards her.
Now OP wants to know if this is wrong.
