The original poster’s sister ( OP ) has a daughter who is 4 years old. Her name is Lexi.
Lexi has super curly hair and needs her hair to be taken care of constantly. OP’S sister’s husband ended up in the hospital and OP’s sister has been a wreck.
IT BEEN A WEEK
OP’s sister’s husband has been in a hospital only for a week, but OP’s sister has been destroyed and stopped brushing Lexi’s hair.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
OP was visiting her sister with some pre-made meals and noticed the house and Lexi’s hair was a mess. OP’s sister wasn’t doing well so OP offered to take Lexi for a bit so OP’s sister can focus on her husband.
SHE SHAVED HER NIECE’S HAIR
OP tried to fix her hair, it just matted. So, she went to a hair salon to see if they could fix it, but it would be 50 dollars an hour for them to brush out the hair.
OP’S SISTER WASN’T PICKING LEXI
OP’s sister wasn’t picking Lexi. So OP had her head shaved the next day and sent pictures when it was done and that finally got her sister to respond.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT
It resulted in a huge argument. OP’s sister asked her how dare she shave her daughter’s hair and OP pointed out that she wouldn’t have shaved her niece’s hair if her sister brushed her daughter’s hair.
OP wants to know if she is being a jerk.
