“Mine is that Yadier Molina is not a Hall of Famer and shouldn’t even be considered.
He gets a lot of leeway because he played his entire career with one team and for his ability to hold runners. But statistically, he was nowhere close. His career WAR is ten below the average HoF catcher. His 7-year peak and WAR/162 are well below the average HoF catcher.”

“Miguel Cabrera’s public image surviving the DUI, public threatening, DV accusations, and having multiple children when married to another woman is pretty impressive. Many players have been dragged for just one of those things. I do think that his story of sobriety is legitimately inspiring and should be part of his legacy, but it is a huge example as to how certain players get a pass.”
