BACKSTORY
OP lives with his wife and their three kids. Last year, OP got promoted to a senior position in the company he works for.
OP IS AN INTROVERT
Being an introvert, OP never really liked to display affection in public.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
One day OP was on a Zoom call with his colleagues. A government representative and the regional head of their firm were also present in the meeting.
THE INCIDENT
OP’s wife came home, entered his room, sat on his lap, and started kissing him, while his meeting was still happening.
THE EMBARRASSMENT
The incident took place right at the moment when OP started to respond to a point made by his regional head. But, after this happened, OP ended up losing his train of thought.
There was a significant period of awkward silence after the incident, and as a result, OP started panicking and stuttering.
WHAT SOLIDIFIED THE EMBARRASSMENT?
Another colleague understood that OP struggled to talk and act normal, so he took it from there. OP remained silent till the end of the meeting.
During the last Q&A session, OP said that he would refine their plan by the time of their next meeting. To that, his boss replied, “You don’t need to spend too much time on it as your wife seems to need you more than we do”.
That further solidified OP’s embarrassment.
CONFRONTING HIS WIFE
After the meeting was over, OP went to confront his wife. His wife got defensive and said that it was no big deal.
She also added that it was a good thing that his colleagues got to know that he is a family man. She also said that she thought the webcam was off.
WHAT DID OP DO NEXT?
OP got very frustrated with his wife as she was aware of this meeting beforehand. He told her that her immature actions made them look disgraceful and immature.
He also said that it caused him great humiliation.
WHAT DID OP’S WIFE DO?
OP’s wife got furious and made him sleep on the couch.

“You are not wrong. My husband has literally army crawled to not interrupt a Zoom meeting. A little extreme but he really didn’t want to interrupt.”, said one user.
